Emotatudes

The scientific study of our Emotions is under way. Emotatudes can help you understand this, Is Emotatudology Real? What is an Emotatude? Promoting emotional agility is the aim of the Emotatude children’s book series. The science of Emotatudology is purely fictional, although many of the concepts proposed by the fictional character Dr. Kich are based on the science of emotion and recent discoveries by scientists, energy healers, psychologists, and psychiatrists.

About Me

Emotatude
A strong positive understanding of feelings when we are young gives us tools to navigate life. I want to support the development of literature for children and adults that allows us all to explore our inner life in ways that will help us become strong compassionate citizens of tomorrow. As James Baldwin once said, reading great literature helps you “discover that your longings are universal longings, that you’re not lonely and isolated from anyone. You belong.” How can we teach children and adults that they belong to a community where empathy and compassion is valued? The foundations of emotional literacy can be built early with a conscious effort. It can be tough to find books that help children and adults deal with topics of grief, loss, depression, anger, and bullying. I want to establish a library of books for young children and adults that will help us relate to the feelings of others as well as our own. I want reading to be an exercise in empathy and walking in someone else’s shoes for a while. The books and ideas I promote will I hope help people cope with feelings, and explore our inner world at every level of development.
